Mayaw — Controlled Town Record
OVERVIEW
Mayaw is a controlled spa town located within accessible distance from Mandalangan Peak Prep, designed to provide students with a structured environment that simulates normal life while remaining fully integrated within the institution’s system.
To the public and to visiting families, Mayaw appears as a modern tropical lifestyle district in the Philippines, with boutique stores, cafés, spa facilities, and residential accommodations. The environment is calm, clean, and intentionally designed to feel detached from the intensity of the school.
Within the system, however, Mayaw functions as a regulated extension of Mandalangan Peak Prep rather than an independent town.
ACCESS AND MOVEMENT
Students may access Mayaw after classes, which end at 05:00 p.m. Departure requires formal sign-out if the student intends to miss the institutional dinner at 06:00 p.m., in order to prevent food waste. Failure to declare absence results in a deduction of points.
Students are permitted to visit Mayaw at any frequency and may remain there for extended periods, including overnight stays within designated accommodations.
All students must return to school grounds before 09:00 p.m. if they do not remain within Mayaw. Any incident occurring beyond this time is not covered by institutional liability.

ANAGOLAY AGIAN
The route connecting the school to Mayaw is known as the Anagolay Agian, a protected path associated with the goddess Anagolay, who is believed to guide and safeguard children.
The path includes pedestrian, jogging, cycling, and vehicular lanes, and remains the only safe route between the two locations. Within its boundaries, hostile entities are unable to enter. Any being with clear intent to harm is automatically displaced outside the path.
Protection is conditional. Students who step outside the Anagolay Agian voluntarily remove themselves from its protection.
EXTERNAL CONDITIONS
Beyond the protected path, the surrounding environment contains active threats, including predatory entities such as manananggals, aswang, and other deceptive creatures capable of mimicking familiar voices to lure individuals.
The institution does not intervene in these conditions. Students are expected to understand the boundary between protected and unprotected space.
FUNCTION
Mayaw operates as a decompression zone within the Mandalangan system. It allows students to experience a controlled version of normalcy while continuing to be observed, evaluated, and recorded.
Freedom of movement is permitted, but not without consequence. All decisions made within Mayaw contribute to the student’s overall assessment.
