BIG BLUE — The Planet Where Bella and Bun Live
Big Blue is the known home planet of Bella, Bun, and the wandering flower trails seen throughout the Bella Story World.
The planet is recognized for its deep blue hills, cream-colored skies, floating petals, quiet moons, and a mysterious emotional phenomenon known as Blooming.
Although Big Blue appears blue from afar, the soil underneath is actually brown when dug. Only the upper layer of the planet turned blue over time.
According to old stories and historical records, the blue topsoil formed gradually during a period now referred to as The Bluedemic.
The Bluedemic was a long emotional era in which many people across Big Blue slowly began feeling disconnected, uncertain, emotionally tired, or without much purpose. As more and more people lost their sense of joy, courage, wonder, and emotional closeness, the surface of the planet itself began changing.
The upper soil slowly turned blue.
At the same time, Blooming became increasingly rare.
Blooming is the natural phenomenon in which flowers appear behind someone’s footsteps while walking across the blue soil of Big Blue. These flower trails are believed to appear when a person feels emotionally alive — especially during moments of courage, peace, happiness, love, wonder, or quiet confidence.
Flower Trails are not controlled intentionally. They appear naturally and differ from person to person. Some people leave behind tiny white flowers. Others create drifting petals, glowing buds, or soft lines of spring blossoms that gently disappear after a short while.
Historical records suggest that Blooming was once common throughout Big Blue.
Children running through fields often left entire paths blooming behind them. Old festivals reportedly transformed streets into temporary flower gardens overnight. Some stories even describe musicians and dancers whose movements caused flowers to spread across entire hillsides.
But after the Bluedemic began, fewer Flower Trails appeared.
In some parts of Big Blue, Blooming disappeared almost completely.
Bella is considered unusual because flowers continue appearing almost everywhere she goes.
Even during uncertain moments, small blossoms still appear beneath her footsteps — something many residents of Big Blue have not witnessed in years. Because of this, many people quietly wonder whether Bella shares a deeper connection with the planet itself.
Some believe she carries spring naturally.
Others believe she simply remembers how to feel alive in a world slowly forgetting.
Bun rarely creates Flower Trails intentionally. However, observers have noted that small flowers occasionally appear around him during moments of unexpected bravery.
Though no official scientific explanation for Blooming exists, many residents of Big Blue believe the planet responds not to perfection, but to emotional truth.
For this reason, Flower Trails are widely understood not as magic, but as signs that a heart is still awake.
