The Doctrine of Alignment — Archive Record
Overview
The Doctrine of Alignment is recorded within the Dragon Vase Archive as the governing standard applied across all institutions under the Ministry of the East. It defines the conditions required for stability across human and non-human systems and is recognized as a foundational doctrine within the Archive’s classification framework.
Definition
Alignment is defined as the capacity of an individual to exist without destabilizing the systems they occupy. It is not a measure of morality, intention, or identity. It is a measure of effect.
The Doctrine applies equally to all recognized forms of existence, including humans, spirits, gods, and anomalies. No classification is exempt.
Application
Under the Doctrine, individuals are continuously observed and evaluated. When alignment is maintained, progression is permitted. When deviation is detected, corrective processes are initiated.
Correction is structured and proportional. It may include reassignment, restriction, or recalibration depending on the degree of instability observed.
Removal
Where correction is determined to be ineffective, removal is authorized. Within Archive records, removal is classified as a stabilization measure rather than a punitive action.
All removal events are recorded without public attribution.
Archive Position
The Doctrine of Alignment is not treated as a policy within the Archive. It is treated as a condition under which all recorded systems remain viable.
